As the carnival started the rain stopped completely so I had to quickly remove the roof, so that she can see everyone and they can see her.
This also meant the film crew can get in and out easier as it drives down the road ahead of the carnival.
So with the roof removed I nervously followed behind and let them get on with the carnival watching the weather as it did not look good!!
Thankfully though it was not cold at all.
I followed the Dakar through the town centre, with all the other floats and bands.
It was a great evening even though every one was wet through.

It turned out to be a great carnival while the rain stopped but at the end of the carnival it started to rain again and by doors and roof was looked in the pavilion and the person with the key was walking round with the floats.
It took around 15 mins to find her and then had to get the keys to gain access to the doors and roof.
To say the least my Dakar got a good soaking!!
